Job Description

Opportunity Specifics

Information about Afghan nationals’ government scholarships in Italy
Scholarship in Italy: In accordance with Law 288/55 and its subsequent modifications and additions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation grants funds to foreign nationals and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the Academic Year 2024–2025 in order to support Italy’s economic system globally, promote Italian language and culture, and encourage international cooperation in cultural, scientific, and technological fields.

Fees for tuition

Depending on their policies and the laws governing the autonomy of academic institutions, some universities exclude grantees from paying enrollment and tuition fees.
The Grantees must get in touch with their preferred university to find out if they qualify for an exception. In any case, regional fees are due.
Advanced courses in Italian language and culture do not qualify for the exemption; registration and tuition fees must be paid for these courses.

TERMS OF GRANTS

As specified in points 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 of this Call, the recipient of an MAECI Grant will get a total of

Nine thousand (9,000) euros, to be paid in three installments to the personal current account that was formed in his or her name with an Italian financial institution. The first installment, 4,5007 euros, will be paid upon confirmation of the Grantee’s presence on Italian territory and completion of enrollment at the university or institute of choice. The second installment, 2,500 euros, will be paid upon confirmation. The first installment’s purpose is to assist the students in settling in after arriving in Italy.

the third and final amount, worth 2,000 euros, will only be paid upon confirmation of a good academic progress by a certificate of tests completed or an equivalent University certification. of enrollment and attendance beginning in February 2025. At the conclusion of each period (first university semester for the first payment, second one for the second and third installments), the MAECI will start the disbursement operations. Renewals are subject to the same requirements as stated previously.

Concerning Winner

A single installment of 3,000 (three thousand) euros will be given to the MAECI Grant winner, as specified in point 1.5 of this call, to open a personal current account in their name with an Italian financial institution. Only after the Grantee’s presence on Italian soil has been confirmed, their enrollment at the chosen university or institute has been completed, and their academic progress has been deemed sufficient will the payment be paid.

Only after completing enrollment at the university or institute and submitting all needed documentation (IBAN and Italian Tax code) can the grant installment be issued in accordance with the necessary administrative procedures.

Master’s Degree (Second Cycle Magistrale Laurea)

Master’s degree course grants are given for a duration of nine (9) months.

It is strongly advised that applicants confirm these and other prerequisites with the university of their choosing. It may also be necessary to pre-enroll using the https://www.universitaly.it/ portal.

Applications must be sent exclusively through the Study in Italy portal. Applicants must be in
possession of a valid passport or identity document. They must upload a legible photocopy of the
